Rudi - RIP - 2000 - 2006/06/17 01h14 age 6
Rudi was ran over while attempting to cross OAK ST - a main thoroughfare - at 42ND, a mere 100m from my house. I foresaw such an eventuality of life for an outdoor cat in a big city hence I have his name and my cell number on his collar...
There may be new posts on this set when I find some of Rudi's old fotos.
But there'll be no more new fotos of Rudi.

Jim's cabin in Cypress Provincial Park
This 2-storey log cabin was built in the 30s by a bunch of either Norwegians or Swedes.
They apparently had a jolly good time building this: There are fotos of their "pissed drunk" on the roof of the cabin in the West Vancouver city archives.

Yumm-xa [say "yumm-cha" without saying the "ch"] is what helpfully we Cantonese tell non-Chinese people "dim-sum".
Literally, it means "drink tea". The dim sums are incidental.

I took over 300 fotos for this event and as at 8/21 I've used up 91% of my monthly upload, So I'll have to ration my uploads judicously...

6th annual SJA BBQ at AC's
This turns out to be the 6th annual BBQ of the St Joan of Arc School old boys in Vancouver. Anthony, Susan and Justin were gracious hosts, they not only fed us but provided us with live music as well as song and dance and the fireworks was provided courtesy of Mexico, the country.

Dinner w/ Ms P Ho & SJ Wong
SJW stopped over in Vancouver after attending his brother's wedding in Calgary and on his way to Chicago...We had the pleasure of having our former teacher, Ms Philomena Ho, to share our dinner with us.
I could delete many of these fotos, but left them in just to give you a feel of the moment.

Jim is of course much, much younger than Canada...

Safeway Canada employees and Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon
I was shopping at Safeway in Oakridge and an announcement was made over the PA that a cheque-giving ceremony is being held. Safeway Canada employees raised in 2005 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation $52,787.
Since 2001, Safeway Canada employees have given to the H&SF $216,929.
Well done.
What has this got to do with me other than just happening to be there? When my father passed away, all donations were given to the H&S Foundation.
