The following is from the Canadian Forces website:

The book, a Directorate - Human Rights and Diversity (DHRD) product, also illuminates some of the hardships faced by Chinese and Japanese Canadians who were veterans or who tried to serve their country. Zennosuke Inouye was one such Canadian. Although Mr. Inouye was a First World War veteran, at the start of the Second World War his 32-acre farm was taken from him and sold without his consent. Mr. Inouye received no financial compensation. Fighting for Canada was written by Dennis and Leslie McLaughlin, who co-authored last year's very well received For My Country - Black Canadians on the Field of Honour. Two copies of Fighting for Canada will be sent to every unit later this year.
